A 501(c)(3) public charity — La Familia Simón Foundation
We believe the trust of the families, donors, and partners we serve is earned through openness. This page brings our mission, governance, and institutional commitments together in one place.
La Familia Simón Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. We unite a family of nonprofit programs — chaplaincy, community immigration support, humanitarian assistance, education, and family services — under one mission: to restore dignity, strengthen communities, and build hope.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for strategic oversight, financial stewardship, and accountability, with an executive team responsible for day-to-day operations. Oversight (the Board) and administration (the executive team) are kept distinct to protect sound governance.
The Foundation maintains internal financial controls including budgeting, expense approval, and separation of duties. As the organization completes its first operating periods, financial statements, annual reports, and IRS Form 990 filings will be published or made available on request in accordance with applicable law. We do not publish figures that do not yet exist; where information is pending, we say so plainly.
We report honestly. La Familia Simón Foundation does not publish statistics, testimonials, partnerships, approvals, or outcomes that are not verified. This commitment protects the trust of everyone we serve and work with.
Funders, regulators, and partners may request our IRS determination letter, EIN, W-9, and governance documents.
Documents described as "available on request" are provided to legitimate funders, regulators, and partners. Reports and statements described as forthcoming do not yet exist in final form and should not be relied upon until published or issued.
