La Familia Simón Foundation is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity established to deliver integrated humanitarian relief, victim stabilization services, crisis intervention, and community recovery programming for underserved individuals and families throughout Florida. The Foundation operates as a trauma-informed family stabilization and community recovery organization with multilingual service capacity in English, Spanish, French, and Haitian Creole.
"The most powerful safety net is not a government program or a corporate grant — it is people who care enough to act."
To provide humanitarian relief, victim stabilization services, community support, educational empowerment, and crisis intervention resources for underserved individuals and families throughout Florida and expanding national service areas.
To build trauma-informed, community-centered systems that restore dignity, stability, safety, and long-term opportunity for vulnerable populations through compassionate direct services and strategic partnerships.
Communities throughout Florida continue to experience significant social and economic instability. The Foundation's model addresses critical gaps through integrated, coordinated crisis response and community stabilization:
Ten integrated service areas delivered through a five-component, trauma-informed framework:
The Foundation operates under the oversight of an independent governing Board of Directors, with defined roles for executive leadership, financial oversight, programs, and governance documentation. Current infrastructure includes IRS 501(c)(3) determination, EIN, SAM.gov/UEI registration, adopted bylaws, conflict-of-interest policy, banking systems, and Florida DR-14 tax exemption. (Full Board roster and governance records are included in the official package.)
A diversified funding model targets federal grants (VOCA, OVW, FEMA, HUD, FVPSA, DOJ), state grants (FL Attorney General, DCF), corporate and foundation philanthropy, individual donors, faith-based partnerships, and in-kind contributions — reducing single-source dependency.
La Familia Simón Foundation invites funders, partners, and community stakeholders to join us in building sustainable systems of support for Florida's most vulnerable populations — through program funding, emergency-assistance capacity, outreach sponsorship, infrastructure investment, or grant and philanthropic collaboration.
