It began with a family of nine — parents, brothers, sisters, and three aunts who helped raise everyone. We were not wealthy, but we had each other: a network of people who showed up when things got hard.
La Familia Simón — LFS — spells 537 on any telephone keypad. Just as 911 means emergency, we want 537 to mean hope: a number families in crisis can associate with immediate, compassionate, culturally responsive support.
